    A compatible Huawei inverter connects to the C1 controller, which coordinates the E1 battery modules. PV and AC loads do not connect directly to the battery.

    Solar supplies the site through the inverter; the S1 battery is idle.

    Solar power passes through the compatible inverter. The inverter battery interface connects through the C1 controller to the E1 modules. Battery support returns through the controller and inverter. Grid charging depends on the approved settings. In the separate SmartGuard backup configuration, the grid is isolated and only the protected backup circuits receive inverter AC power. The C1 and E1 have no standalone AC output.
