ReneWave’s legal warranty as seller
Where ReneWave sells equipment to a consumer, the legal warranty for defects and hidden defects applies independently of any manufacturer warranty. ReneWave does not redirect a mandatory seller obligation solely because a manufacturer or authorised SAV network refused a commercial-warranty claim.
The appropriate remedy depends on the defect, evidence, product condition and applicable law. ReneWave may use manufacturer diagnosis or support to resolve the file, while remaining the consumer’s seller contact for mandatory rights.
Any commercial or manufacturer warranty is additional to these mandatory rights. Its duration and conditions must be communicated with the product or accepted order where offered.
Where Moroccan consumer law places transport or shipping costs for execution of an offered commercial warranty on ReneWave as supplier, ReneWave bears those costs. This is assessed separately from an optional on-site service outside the covered remedy.
What workmanship covers
Workmanship covers defects directly attributable to ReneWave’s work within the planned scope: connection, fixing, routing, initial configuration, fitting of supplied items and commissioning per the applicable professional practices.
The correction is targeted at the defect found. It does not require ReneWave to replace a whole system if a repair, an adjustment or replacing a component is enough.
ReneWave Solar installation workmanship is covered for twenty-four (24) months from commissioning. The accepted project documents identify the installation, commissioning date and covered work; this is separate from the duration of equipment warranties.
The Workmanship Warranty only covers installations carried out by ReneWave. Equipment bought from ReneWave on its own and then installed by the client or a third party does not benefit from this installation warranty. Any mandatory seller rights and applicable manufacturer commercial warranty remain separate, while damage caused by the third-party installation is assessed against the lawful scope of each warranty (see the Terms of Sale page, “Buying equipment only, without ReneWave installation” section).
Example
A connection defect attributable to the ReneWave installation is confirmed.
ReneWave acts under workmanship, per diagnosis and the applicable contract.
Example
An inverter shows an internal failure with no installation error.
ReneWave checks the applicable seller rights and manufacturer cover, then coordinates the relevant remedy and warranty file.
Manufacturer warranty — dossier handled for you
ReneWave remains your point of contact. The manufacturer or authorised SAV network decides claims made under its commercial warranty; this does not affect mandatory rights against ReneWave as seller.
- 01
Qualification
ReneWave checks the symptom, context, alerts, history, installation and usage.
- 02
Evidence
ReneWave gathers photos, serial numbers, invoice, measurements, monitoring screenshots and the requested information.
- 03
Submission
ReneWave sends the file to the manufacturer or authorised after-sales network once the elements are sufficient.
- 04
Follow-up
ReneWave follows the answer, explains any additional requests and coordinates the reasonable next steps.
- Product reference, serial number and commissioning date.
- Photos of the equipment, visible wiring, screen, alerts or indicator lights.
- Screenshots of the monitoring portal or error messages.
- Description of when the defect appeared, frequency, weather or a recent event.
- History of interventions, cleanings, outages, surges or modifications.
Your product-specific warranty documents
The warranty offered with a product is identified before you accept the purchase and supplied in a written record you can retain. It identifies the model, guarantor and contact address, duration and starting event, covered defects, conditions, claim steps, repair or maintenance contacts and essential spare-parts availability. Keep it with your invoice and commissioning record where applicable.
Durations vary by model and type of cover. A solar-panel product warranty is different from a power-performance warranty; a battery warranty may specify retained capacity, cycles or energy throughput under defined operating conditions. A long performance period does not mean that every component, on-site visit or labour item has that same cover.
Any applicable registration deadline, territorial condition, installation requirement or maintenance condition is explained with the offer. ReneWave confirms which registration steps it undertakes and which require your action. Later changes to a manufacturer website do not automatically replace the terms supplied with your accepted purchase.
Repair, replacement or another remedy depends on the applicable right. A refurbished replacement is not assumed to be acceptable by default: any such option must comply with the supplied warranty conditions and mandatory law. Warranty periods do not automatically restart after replacement; any required extension remains applicable.
Equipment handed over for repair
When ReneWave takes equipment into its custody for warranty or after-sales work, you receive a dated intake receipt identifying the equipment, serial number where available, accessories, reported fault and visible condition. A dated return receipt records what was done and when the equipment was returned.
Under Article 73 of Law 31-08, the duration of the applicable conventional warranty or after-sales contract is extended by the time the supplier holds all or part of the product for its execution. The receipts record the relevant dates and extension. Sending an initial enquiry while keeping the equipment is not itself the same as handing it over.
Contact ReneWave before shipping so that packaging, destination and transport arrangements can be confirmed. An intake reference helps track the equipment; it is not a condition for reporting a statutory claim. Do not ship a damaged battery without specific safe-transport instructions.
After the workmanship period
After ReneWave’s Workmanship Warranty expires, the equipment may still be covered by the manufacturer warranty. In that case, ReneWave can keep helping with the file, but travel, diagnosis, labour, dismantling, reassembly, transport or testing may be billed per quote.
A manufacturer may accept a replacement part while an on-site intervention remains a separate service. ReneWave confirms any charge before the visit and does not charge a cost that mandatory law or the applicable warranty requires it to bear.
Confirmed ReneWave workmanship defect within cover
- Rule
- Correction of the covered defect is included.
- Handling
- ReneWave arranges the necessary covered correction.
- Note
- Optional upgrades remain separate.
Mandatory seller remedy or covered commercial-warranty transport
- Rule
- Costs legally payable by ReneWave are not passed to the customer.
- Handling
- ReneWave confirms the remedy and transport arrangements.
- Note
- A manufacturer cost exclusion does not override ReneWave’s statutory obligations.
Optional visit or work outside applicable cover
- Rule
- A charge requires a disclosed quote and your agreement before the service.
- Handling
- The quote separates diagnosis, travel, labour and any parts.
- Note
- No paid service is imposed merely to submit a claim.
